Eyebrow Flossing

Has anyone out there ever had their eyebrows "flossed" (it's sometimes called "threading")?

I was lying on the waxing table at the salon the other day thinking about what a pain it is to have to get my eyebrows waxed (sometimes literally a pain!). I realize that it is not a true necessity of life to have one's eyebrows shaped, but since I really think very little of eyebrows (really the only credit that I give them is that God put them on my face and He knows what He's doing, so I know they are there for a reason!) I have decided that it is best to trust the professionals to make them look as nice as a little patch of fur hovering over my eyes can look.

A quick side note here... Husband (not knowing what I am currently posting about) just came over to me to show me his impressive 4 foot long single eyebrow hair.

So I'm lying on the table with a bright light shining through my eyelids (yes, it was that bright!) and all of the sudden I remembered that I once had my eyebrows "flossed." It was fast, it didn't hurt, and it didn't leave the tell-tale red splotches on my puffy, freshly waxed eyebrow line. I asked my hairstylist/ eyebrow ripper-outer if she had ever heard of it and she laughed at me. Actually laughed out loud. She really thought I was joking. When I explained to her what it was, she was amazed and said that she was going to ask around about it. I still don't think she completely bought the whole concept.

My question is this... Is there anyone else that has had an eyebrow flossing experience? Was it really less painful then the waxing or was I just too young and dumb to realize that it really did feel like someone was ripping my eyebrows off with dental floss?
